So I just came to the realization that I never blogged Kent and Becky's lovely engagement shoot from last June quite a while ago! Bad photographer and friend award goes to yours truly. But I did have such an amazing day with these two dear friends! We spent hours exploring the beautiful Minnehaha Park while they modeled like pros for the engagement photos. Then we ended the evening catching the sunset at the Stone Arch Bridge. It was a perfect day! So without further adieu, I give you the NOW Mr. and Mrs. Kent and Becky Halsey!

I was so happy when Vanessa first contacted me about taking pictures of her sweet family! One of her boys I had in my preschool class over a year ago, so it was a neat opportunity to get to connect him and his family again. The boys were filled with laughter and mischief, and true family love was clearly displayed throughout the whole time spent with this beautiful family.

Holly & Pete | Delafield Engagement Photographer

I feel like I have a special connection to this fun couples' engagement. Both my husband and I, as well as Pete and Holly, were engaged in Ireland! Josh and I got engaged in Ireland on a mission trip through our college in 2010. We went again on a similar trip through our school last summer. That time, though, we were the team leaders and Holly and Pete were part of the team! It was so exciting to see our "Ireland engagement tradition" continue on with these two!

I was so excited when Holly asked me to take their engagement pictures! Despite the chilly temperatures we had great time trekking through the snow and ice at a location I've never shot at before! We walked along the Wisconsin Veterans' Memorial Riverwalk in downtown Delafield. We also stopped at a beautiful little church at St. John's Military Academy there in Delafield also! Thanks for a great time, you two! Looking forward to your May wedding!

These two were one of the most fun couples I have ever photographed! They laughed and laughed throughout the whole session. Their love for each other and their enjoyment of life was so obvious to me as a shot the session and, I believe, shows vibrantly in the images captured. Praying the Lord continues to bless their relationship as they get married in June, and praying that they never lose their fun-loving spirits and obvious love for each other. Happy wedding planning 'til June, you two!

 

 

New beginnings

Let me just start right out by honestly admitting, I AM A FAILURE at blogging. I've lost count of the number of blogs I have started over the years that now merely sit deserted out in cyberspace. But, that does not mean I am not going to, yet again, work at maintaining this blog. So, here's to new beginnings!

Wedding as a guest and friend

What a fun wedding this was! My husband was in the wedding as a groomsman. He and the groom are good friends from their college days. :) I was able to see wonderful friends I don't get to see very often, as well as a dear friend I haven't seen for FOUR years! That definitely made my day! My week even! :) While not the photographer at this wedding, I was still able to take a few shots.

I was even able to sneak in a few also!

Bethany and Ryan - Engaged

I'm so very happy for these two. BB (Bethany) has been a dear friend to me all through college, and one of the best RA's I could have wished to have! Her sweet spirit and godly testimony have always been an encouragement to me. Now she has found a man who, from all I can see, is perfect for her! I'm so excited to see how God uses you two! Never stop enjoying the little moments.
